Commissions and Figurative Film Work
As a professional scenic artist in the film industry I am occasionally asked to execute specialty projects for backgrounds or as a hero (or close up). These include creating stylistic composites in the manner of old and modern masters. In these situations designers will want the painting to capture the spirit of the artist yet have sufficient changes as to be cleared for copy-write. Occasionally, I will be requested to paint an actors face into an existing painting to place it in context. Here are some examples.
